We started LANDED in 2019 with a simple observation: the people who keep businesses and communities running were being served by some of the worst technology in the workforce.
Candidates applied and never heard back. Hiring managers spent hours chasing applicants, scheduling interviews, and trying to keep positions filled. Businesses needed great people — and people needed great jobs — but hiring was still painfully manual, slow, and disconnected.
We believed there had to be a better way.
We started by building both sides of the hiring equation — helping people find work, and helping businesses find people. That gave us an unusually close view of how broken hiring was from every angle. Over time, we realized the opportunity wasn’t a better job marketplace. It was reinventing the hiring process itself.
That’s what LANDED became: a platform built around the employer, using technology — and now AI — to make every step between “we need someone” and “we found the right person” dramatically better.
We saw the problem before the technology existed to fully solve it. In 2019, we knew hiring needed to be faster and more human. Today, AI finally gives us the ability to rebuild the process from the ground up — at the level we always imagined.
We were never building for one type of worker, or one industry. We were building for the people who make the world go around — the frontline workers who serve customers, repair homes, move goods, care for people, and keep businesses running, in restaurants and hospitality, home services, automotive, retail, logistics, and beyond.
For businesses, that means dramatically easier ways to find and hire great people. For frontline workers, it means finding opportunities that are right for them, and a better experience every step of the way.
